Most RS485 Pi Hats have much slower transceivers - if you need more speed this is for you!
You can select UART 0,1,3,4,5 on the Raspberry PI. TX and RX are tied to UARTs separately so you have the flexibility to use these UARTs in many configurations. For example, in the odd case that you want TX on one UART and RX on another this is possible, or if you want to tie the RX to multiple UARTs you can do this as well.
Configure the board for Full Duplex using A/B and Y/Z RS485 pairs or for Half Duplex using only A/B. - If Half Duplex is selected, the Read Enable and Drive Enable pins will be tied together and you can select Raspberry PI GPIO Pin 18, 23, 24 or 25 to control data direction.
Resistors are installed and can be enabled on A/B or Y/Z as desired.
Once you have decided how you want your Acadia configured, just solder the jumpers as needed - no bulky dip switches and no physical jumpers to lose. Solder jumpers can be easily removed and reconfigured.
