This "mod chip" contains everything needed for minimal Arduino operation. We can us this as if "DIP sized Arduino MEGA"

EIGHT times SRAM sized, FOUR times Flash sized Arduino environment is realised by ATmega1284P mod chip contains ceramic resonator, capacitor and resistor. This kit contains,
(1) the "mod-chip", contains Arduino boot-loader written ATmega1284P, on it 16MHz ceramic resonator and capacitor and resistors are populated, with clear PIN-assign sticker.
(2) USB-TTL interface based on Silicon Labs CP2102, fully compatible with Arduino IDE
(3) Connection wires between USB-TTL interface (socket) and solder-less board (pin)
(4) 0.1 uF ceramic capacitor for DTR of USB-TTL interface and RST of 1284P connection
It may not be well-known but SRAM of ATMega1284P is doubled as ATMega2560P in Arduino Mega. This feature is quite useful for memory-demanding application such as image processing and standalone computer project (I love it). Also Flash is four times as ATmega328P in Arduino UNO. Actually, so far, I have never used all of them.
But!, I don't know why (strategic reason?) but no Arduino board was released by arduino.cc (or .org), and handling ATmega1284 is not so easy for beginner and solder less board prototyper.
So, this time I made a "mod-chip" based on ATMega1284P.
(a) We can enjoy very rich SRAM (16kB) and Flash(128kB) environment as simple as we do it by Arduino UNO just by $15.
(b) All of required items are contained. All you will need is solder-less board.
(c) Software setting is quite easy. Details are written in my hackaday project. Please click "Documentation" link in the right side top of this page!
CAUTION After enjoying, please never try to solder "mod-chip" in PCB, otherwise solder will be melted down and all of mounted parts will be detached.
