Synapse is a CV to MIDI Eurorack module allowing you to control an external instrument using your modular synth.
This is the kit version, if you prefer to get a fully assembled module, it is available here.
I initially made this module to control my Korg Volca Beats drum kit but you can actually use it to control any instrument with a MIDI input.
This module is very easy to build even for beginners, most of the components are already soldered, you just have to solder the Jacks, some connectors and a few easy to solder components, really nothing difficult here!
The logic is done on an Arduino Nano and the source code is available on Github
The firmware is easy to adapt to your needs and is uploaded to the module using the Arduino IDE. If the module gets popular enough, I will consider making an app to customize the firmware without having to change a single line of code.
See the full documentation for more information on specifications and how to build it.
