This is a breadboardable GPIO to VGA adapter. It was designed to work specifically with the Raspberry Pi Pico, but it will work with any microcontroller that can generate a VGA output using a simple resistor DAC at up to 5 bits per color.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation published example circuits for use with the Raspberry Pi Pico module, and many manufacturers built boards will all of the circuits on a single board. If you don't need all of them, this module will save you a bit of coin.
I love creating old-school games, and outputting graphics to things like TVs and VGA have always been a fun way to output those games.
This is an inexpensive solution for connecting to any monitor with a VGA port. Although there are other solutions out there, this one is simple, generic, and inexpensive. It will work with nearly any resistor-based example circuit published on the internet.
