Version 3 of the CANduino - whats new? This is version 3 of our CANduino and we used the opportunity to improve quite a number of things:
v3 has become narrower again, so now 2 pins are free on each side on a breadboard. So you have more space for your projects!
The v3 now has a USB-C port to reduce the number of cables needed for your project and eliminate the need to constantly reconnect cables!
In addition, the USB-C port an the +5V Pin are now protected with a reverse polarity protection and an overvoltage protection, so that even a careless moment does not end in a total loss. (Note that the zener diodes could be destroyed if the short-circuit current is too high.)
The CAN-bus function can be deactivated via a jumper. This configures the CANduino to a normal Arduino Nano.
We now offer a breakout board for larger projects with screw terminals: https://www.tindie.com/products/26465/
If the CANduino is not displayed, please download the driver for the CH340 which can be found here: http://www.wch-ic.com/downloads/CH341SER_ZIP.html
