This design is based on a tiny RFM12B 433MHZ SPI Transceiver Module.
The shield has a speaker and a microphone on it with all amplifier circuits. and the most important thing about this project is, the Arduino board reads the microphone audio signal thru the analog input, converts it to digital and sends the packets to the RFM12B module thru the SPI port.
the RFM12B broadcasts the packet thru the RF signals. then the receiver gets the RF signal and sends the received data to the Arduino Board on SPI port. now the Arduino port uses the PWM output to convert the digital signal to analog audio signal to the speaker !. there is a PTT (Push To Talk) Switch on the board that you hold it and talk and release it to listen.
This is a really fun, useful and educational project that will teach you how to deal with analog signals and RF modules.
This shield is not only able to send Audio like a Walkie Talkie , but also is able to send Digital Data.
You can use is as a Serial port Transceiver, Remote Controller, Modem and etc
Imagine you have this Shield with your Arduino then you can Text your friend next door with Terminal software in Arduino IDE or you can talk with him/her or yo can make a RC Car and too many things like that... NOTE:
