Fantastic Product!

I purchased 4x USB-C connectors in the beginning of June'23. The MicroUSB port of my controllers were starting to wear and I had to place the cable in awkward positions to get them to charge. I had more USB-C Cables laying around from other devices and this modification option just made sense! No soldering, no mess, no nonsense and honestly REAL quality work!

Shipping to my State in the USA took a while (approximately 60 days). I can't exactly say why that was, could have been a whole factor of reasons. Stock availability, shipping across the globe, getting lost in transit, getting through customs, etc etc. It's not Amazon, so I knew I had to be patient! Once they put it in the mail, it's out of the shop's control. All I did was reach out to Marius and he was willing to work with me. I wasn't worried and it paid off!

I got the package in the mail, quickly installed them and THEY ARE FANTASTIC! The modules are HIGH QUALITY stuff! You pick these up and you can DEFINITELY feel the superiority compared to the Sony originals. I'm really glad I waited rather than requesting a refund.

I waited about a week to post this review and everything has been ROCK SOLID. I have tried it with about 7 different cables (Anker, Samsung, Amazon Basics, etc) and different chargers. I couldn't be happier with this product!

PLEASE buy with confidence if you are looking to upgrade to this module! Be patient with the shipping. It is WORTH IT!

I received the product even I see in the comments that some people didn't receive it. Easy to install with the youtube video he posted and I see he communicates a lot on twitter and on here so its defiantly a 10/10.

For others reading this: I rely on you to notify me if an order goes missing. The untracked postal system does not have any form of notification that notifies me about successful deliveries. Ordered 5/21/23, NOW 7/30/23 STILL NOT RECIEVED.

Ordered product for birthday very excited to mod several controllers in May waited the 45 days required by shop. And have never received Order its now July about to be August. Reached out to owner via tindie messenger to no avail. No response, no product VERY DISSAPPOINTING.

Product arrived today, 9/15/23. Glad Marius Heier got in touch 9 days after direct messaging him on tindie. 3 days later replacements shipment confirmation recieved via email. Now in hand, installed, and very happy with product. Shipping wasn't Marius' fault and I understand that. Very happy issue was resolved and excited for his future offering. THANKS AGAIN.

I ordered this product on may 27,2023. It was shown to have shipped on June 7, 2023. It is now July 28, 2023. In the past 10 days I have messaged the seller 3 separate times and have received no communications back.

Ordered April 26th. Still no item

I ordered 3 boards on the 26th of April. I have yet to receive my purchase. I've messaged the seller twice on tindie and emailed him once. Still no reply, but he was active in twitter after I first messaged him. I really like his stance on these controllers but do far he hasn't delivered on my ordered and that upsets me. I was trying to support him and ehatvhes doing for ps4 controller owners but this is sad.
*Update* As of June 28, I have been reached out to and am having a new order sent to me. I understand how popular the store has become and I am waiting patiently for my new order to arrive. Once it arrives I will update the review accordingly. I hope it all works out. I have faith it will be great.
*Update 2* got and update that the new updated boards are shipping out. Waiting patiently and will update review when its here.
*Update 3* My boards arrived today(Sept 14, 2023). While the wait was very long, after communicating with Marius, I realise what happened. He has since updated his store and orders seem to be going out. Speaking about the actual product, the installation was a bit tough, I misjudged the angle that the port sits inside the controller so the filing down process took longer than it should. I should have bought a cheap set of plastic or metal files instead of using what I had on hand. Performance and usage wise, the boards are amazing. My wire doesn't flex at the connector anymore. USB-C is way more robust than micro. I recommend this mod and Marius if you prefer using your ps4 controllers over any other. this made me able to use my older controller that I couldn't use for over 2 years because the micro port died. I bought 3 boards and the next 2 installs should be a breeze now that I know what I'm doing. Thanks again Marius and hopefully those hall sticks are coming soon

Bought two USB C connectors

After my kid used a lot the micro usb they broke :( googling about how to resolve this, buying a new micro usb connector seems to be a good idea. BUT! I found this webpage and this person who sells these awesome connectors.

Shipping was fast and delivery too! :) Totally happy with it, also the packaging is well done and the look and feel is really premium!.

I have only one concern, and that is related to the quality control on this boards. Sadly one of the connectors is not aligned properly and is not attached completely to the board, is not that it doesn't work! both worked perfectly but since one of the USB C connector was not aligned correctly, one of the screws got bad and it doesn't go tight as it should be. I had to use both connectors since my kids wanted to play as soon as possible.

Besides that all works as the previous connects. I totally recommend you buy a file that is thin to make the precise adjustments!,

totally recommended, but please better the quality control to make sure all the connectors get really well aligned and attached to the board.

Since its the first time i got feedback on it. Ive sold close to 2000 boards now without this issue, so quality control is pretty good. However i still might have missed it, specially if it works. Very Good mod

Always hated micro usb even on my ps vita i hate it, the type c mod is gold. still moves jiggles side to side but overall very good mod will be buying another one soon.

Awesome!

Works great! Fits snug in stock screw standoffs. Just need to sand the mini usb opening to fit usb c. Even has the programmable led! Couldn't have hoped for better!

Excellent hardware mod. Worked like a charm

My own dirty filing and inhaling plastic particles aside, it worked great and was a fairly easy mod to install. Only requiring said filing as far as alterations and being relatively forgiving at that if you don't mind a little messy presentation. I love the PS4 controller as far as most modern controllers go, so I'm happy to be able to keep using it.

Great product that works

I bought 2 of these for JDS-40 and 1 for JDS-5x.
They work perfectly. My advice is just to be patient while filing the opening for the port.

It's amazing! Can't believe my DS4 got improved!

Alright, I bought one and it works nicely, you have to carve a little bit the plastic of your gamepad to it fit perfectly, this is no problem though it's a little annoying, but it's not Marius fault, it's Sony's fault. And I couldn't get more happier with Marius's job, I had zero problems make it works and adapt the DS4 to receive the mod following his video, the USB-C worked nicely all the time. I'm from Brazil and brazilians kinda know how annoying is brazil customs, it took me a few time to receive it, but our posting service took too long to deliver, but definetely all the pacience is worth, my dualshock 4 finally fixed thanks to Marius :). I'll follow with a another review but this time in portuguese, in case any brazilian get interested on this.

Bom, funciona bem, é meio irritante ter que escavar o plástico do DS4, mas com paciência dá pra chegar num resultado bem legal e próximo a como se fosse assim desde o começo. A placa com o USB-C funciona maravilhosamente bem, na verdade nem parece que a peça original foi trocada e você ainda vai ter a vantagem de ter um cabo que fica firme nele e que não desconecta, é simplesmente 10/10. Sobre o envio, eu sou de São Paulo, peguei o envio mais barato que tecnicamente não tem rastreio, e pra variar ficou preso em Curitiba e saiu de lá com um número de rastreio, e sim eu tive que pagar aquela taxa de 15 reais pros correios prosseguirem, mas uma vez pago isso os correios foram entregar sem nenhum problema (exceto a demora que rola em Curitiba)

VERY quick shipping, works as advertised.

It took me a little while to install this new usb-c board. Just take your time and be patient. I used a dremel tool with a carving bit to carefully remove the plastic. Just follow the directions that are linked and it will turn out well!

Compre dos JDS-40 el 08/12/2022 y me llegaron a Chile el 17/01/2023, los video tutoriales hacen que la instalación sea muy fácil, por cada control demore alrededor de 45 minutos, lo que más tarda es limar el control, si tienes un dremel o similar bajara mucho el tiempo.
Una vez instalados probe ambos controles y quedaron geniales, carga usb-c.

Super easy Great looking USB-C board for PS4 controller

About 15-30 minutes of filing as in the mounting guide and now I have a PS4 controller that isn't prone to disconnecting when wired. Great board that looks great as well as works perfectly. I highly recommend this board!

Couldn't have been easier!

Super easy install. I watched the video a few times to make sure I was cutting the correct supports on the shell, I took my time filing and checking progress, and the new port looks stock!

I did check connectivity before buttoning up the shell to ensure correct installation of the ribbon.

If i ever pick up a 2nd controller, I'm definitely going to grab another one of these boards!

Better than I imagined

Received the product after 14 days. I spent more time filing the plastic down than installing the new circuit and it was simply plug and play. Definitely prefer my ps4 controller over my ps5 due to the weight and this circuit board gave me the future proof I needed.

Huge props and will definitely keep a look out if Marius' Hall effect joystick births into a custom ps4 controller.

A perfect upgrade for your PS4 controller

Wow, I love my PS4 controllers even more now! I Bought two of these wonderful USB-C boards and they were very easy to install. I followed the video which was easy enough. I already had all the tools that he mentioned in the video. Filing down the inside where the board sits is what took me the longest to do. I bought these to replace the stock ports because one of my controllers USB port was loose and sometimes the cable would fall out. The USB-C port has a tight fit, which I tested by plugging in the cable into the controller and holding onto the cable and bouncing the controller up and down not too lightly but not that hard either and it held very well.

The quality of these boards are great and the price is even better, in some cases half of what others sell them for.
As for the time it took to get to my house from Norway was surprisingly quick. I ordered them on November 23rd (Two days after my birthday, Present for myself), they shipped November 25th, and they finally arrived December 5th. I installed them that same day. Didn't take me too long. I am very happy I bought these upgrades for both of my PS4 controllers, thank you.

By far the best USB-C boards for the DualShock 4

I have upgraded three different controllers with this mod, and the quality of life improvement is amazing. The mod is basically plug and play (save for filing away plastic to make the port hole larger), and the port is still held in firmly with the factory screw.

It works for both charging and data with any USB-C cable, even USB-C to USB-C. When I had a shipping issue with my order, Marius resolved it quickly and professionally.

If you have any DualShock 4 controllers laying around, these upgrade boards are a must buy!

Best Affordable USB-C For Your PS4 Controller!

This Mod for the PS4 Controller is great. Exactly What i Needed for my Setup for My Electronics, Since i Use Mostly USB C Ports to charge My electronics.
i had no problem with Installing this mod, take no longer than 30 Minutes or less to do. I highly Recommend To anyone who want's to learn to modify their controller and is affordable.
