See pictures for before and after of LoRaWAN Gateway installation.
This is two designs in one:
This essentially means, that if you have LoRaWAN Concentrator build with iC880A (SPI version) and RPI you can use this board to supply power to the RPI over passive PoE, connect RPI to ethernet and connect the LoRaWAN concentrator to RPI all at once.
Just use any passive PoE injector, a piece of short ethernet cable and a standard wall wart power supply with barrel connector (2.1mm, preferably around 24V DC @ 2A - NOT supplied), run the main ethernet cable from indoors to outdoors to the concentrator box, put the RPI with LoRaWAN concentrator into a box, connect pigtail and antenna and you are ready to IoT!
So the architecture would be: INDOORS (wall wart, ethernet switch, PoE injector) ----- long main ethernet cable ----- OUTSIDE (box with RPI, iC880A, this connection board and piece of short ethernet cable) Done. No extra to fluff around.
Fully compatible with ic880a-gateway
