Power-in is connected to the header labelled '5V', the LED board gets connected to the header with labels 'A / B'. You'll also have to separate the boards by breaking the tabs. An old wire-clipper should work nicely, twisting the tiny board in the center is also a good way to get it out. You may have to use a small file to smooth-out the edges where the tabs are located.
Once you connect power, the lamp will fade up to 50% brightness and stay there. Press one button to increase brightness, press the other one to decrease brightness. When both buttons are pressed the lamp resets and fades to 50% again.
The micro-controller comes programmed with the latest firmware.
