Make your Raspberry Pi3 B, Pi 3B+, Pi4 B or Pi 0 to act as a single channel LoRaWAN gateway to the Things Network. (www.thethingsnetwork.org) Select freq 868, 915 or 923 Mhz, this freq can be changed in the config file.
Remark. This product includes a 9 cm.Antenna but does not include Raspberry Pi. Antenna might look difference from the showed picture.
Multi-Channel Gateway is too expensive for learning. If you have this single channel gateway, you can learn and test your programming for LoRaWAN node.
Work with new Raspberry Pi 4B. You can have the Things Network Gateway up and run in less than a day with this shield. Included 9 cm. antenna without Raspberry Pi and case. Need to have basic knowledge about raspberry pi.
You should bear in mind that this single channel gateway is not full function or compliance to LoRaWAN standard. It is a prove of concept product and enable you to start learning LoRaWAN and TTN. Only ABP authentication is supported.

After installation, change pins configuration in global_conf.json to:
Don't forgat to enable SPI on the Raspberry Pi (Use sudo raspi-config) before installation.
You also need to install wiringpi. (sudo apt-get install wiringpi) If you use RPI4B, you have to upgrade wiringpi from v2.5 to 2.52. See howto upgrade Click
If you use RPI0, edit single_chan_pkt_fwd.cpp and change eth0 to wlan0.

After installation. Edit config file /home/pi/single_chan_pkt_fwd/global_conf.json
Frequency can be changed in this .json file.
If you want to start the program manually, run program as root. sudo ./single_chan_pkt_fwd
The installation script change RPI config to automaticly start single_chan_pkt_fwd when RPI is rebooted. Manually run only for testing purpose.
