Indoor localization systems are either less accurate or very pricy. With the Localino kit for Arduino you are now able to build a very price competitive indoor location system. It is based on an Decawave UWB transceiver, an Arduino pro mini and the anchors offer also a wifi backup link. This way it can be integrated into any already existing wireless network and transport the ranging data to a server in nearly realtime. The indoor accuracy is within 10cm! The tag does not require Wifi, but if you want it, you can also add this to the PCB.

This is a do it yourself kit. It is designed to operate as a tag, but can also be used as an anchor. And its compatible to Localino version 1.0. (see the actual anchor / tag version version 1.0: https://www.tindie.com/products/kuek/localino-indoor-positioning-system/)
Localino 1.3 is smaller than the Localino 1.0 (see my store) and uses also the same microprocessor as the Arduino Pro Mini. The new version is compatible with the old firmware. It features 3 LEDs (1x PWR, 1x CLK, 1x free to use). You could for example use the third LED to notify the user when the battery is low.
It comes open source Tag firmware, which has been adapted by us and now allows to run the tag in sleep mode once transmission has finished. The actual power consumption (incl. Power LED) in sleep mode is 1.5mA. It's even lower when the Power LED will be removed.
Localino 1.3 must be soldered and then flashed using an ISP programmer (In-system programming). We supply Atmel studio solution files. You can use free software, for example from github (e.g. thotro decawave lib) or our code, which also makes use of the mentioned library and comes for free and open source.
