A 3-phase inverter for electric car. The logic board, gate drivers and a sensor board. It has various analog and digital IO tailored for electric car use. It has safety features like hardware over current protection and hardware supported emergency stop inputs. It can be easily scripted over the serial port and many support scripts, also from third parties, exist.
Back when I started my EV conversion all inverters were prohibitively expensive and closed source. So I built my own picking every component carefully to fulfill my requirements - no more and no less.
It is the best developed open source inverter including a web interface for configuration. It has been developed by an EV enthusiast for EV enthusiasts and therefor contains many practical features. It even makes the charger redundant as it can use the motor inductance for buck or boost mode charging.
You get the bare PCBs and all required parts, including the Olimex STM32-H103 MCU board. Everything is through hole and easy to solder. You have to build your own power stage, that is IGBTs, bus capacitors, heat sink and enclosure.
