Read More…This circuit synchronizes JamMan looper pedals to any analog clock/pulse input, for example from Korg Volca units, Arturia sequencers and synthesizers, Eurorack signals, etc. It has been tested with JamMan Solo XT and Express XT, but should work also with Vocal XT and SDRUM.
Power the circuit using any 9V pedals plug or via USB, send your analog clock to the left-most mono input (cable included) and turn it on using the toggle below. Connect the right-most stereo output to the SYNC IN of the pedal (cable not included, your usual 3.5mm audio cable is fine) and your loops will be recorded and played back right on the beat.
The first yellow LED lights up when a clock input is detected, and will blink fast if incoming tempo is incompatible with the JamMan (too fast or too slow). The second switch selects between two PPQ options (pulses-per-quarter), which can optionally be configured using the Arduino IDE and the USB connection on the back. The Arduino code is open-source.
