This is an arduino wireless power shield, complete with transmit coil and circuit to provide power. The circuit is an early prototype at this point, but does receive enough power to light an 8 pixel Neopixel strip at an inch to 2 inches from the transmitter by itself (as seen in the video), and a distance of about 5-6 inches utilizing a second resonant repeater coil.
This is the next evolution in my kit development for wireless power. I wanted to provide an easy solution to makers and tinkerers who could benefit from powering an arduino inductively or non-contact. Projects could include things like persistance of vision, momentary data acquisition (like a large RFID), underwater or harsh environment applications, or places where you can't run a wire through a wall or boundary.
As far as i know, this is the first arduino shield to provide wireless power to an arduino.
