The RPBee nRF52 module is a great nRF52 implementation that is XBee footprint and pin compatible! Using e.g. an XBee Explorer you can easily reprogram the module from the Arduino IDE.
We were looking to get our Bluetooth modules to the next level and ready for Bluetooth 5.0. The other module was not fast enough and also used some deviant scripting language plus a special programmer. One of our partners needed a better bluetooth device for their medical simulation systems and after evaluating a number of other bluetooth solutions we though this one would be the best!
You can use it as a drop-in replacement for other XBee compatible footprints. There is also a 10-pin debug pin available (it does not come with pins soldered on, but we can if you really want that). And a header for the NRF52 NFC tag mode option.
As you can see we have five different color options: - Red - Blue - Yellow - White - Black Please mention what color(s) you like otherwise we will ship a random color.
For now we will use the Adafruit Libraries, we are working on adapted libraries, but will try to keep them as much compatible as possible.
Needed: An XBee explorer or some XBee <-> USB UART alternative.
In the Video you can see how I programmed mine. I use BLExplr and an iPhone to see the module as an iBeacon, there are also UART examples, etc. Will work with any BLE (Bluetooth 4+) compatible client device.
