On the "Yet another Breakout board for Arduino" series we are proud to present the most boring breakout boards for the ATMEGA328P-MU you could get your hands on. Please bear with us...
After the great popularity from our Nakeduino family of boards (this and this), we have developed the Nakeduino-328P codename: "Yawn" - because it's just boring ~AF~!
In contrast to the now-retired Arduino Yun, our Yawn has no LEDs, no capacitors, no crystals, nothing attached to it (apart from the MCU, of course). You are free to design your own! Just connect the external 16 MHz high-quality crystal oscillator (sold here), the two 22pF ceramic capacitors (also sold here), one LED and one 1k resistor (not sold here) and you would be blinking your first DIY Arduino Uno in a matter of minutes! :sunglasses:
Our boards are a proven easy-development solution for embedding your custom version of an Arduino Uno prototype in your projects. You have the freedom of loading your custom bootloader, Optiboot or the default ones from our Arduino friends. Our boards are shipped with the latter, and for the sake of simplicity, we cannot burn other custom ones. Please keep that in mind
In order to burn your codes, you will need an USBasp, widely available on the market for a few dollars. Further details on this type of programmer can be found on the USBasp page from the great Thomas Fischl (danke schon, Thomas!)
The pins were distributed according to the schematic symbol from KiCAD, for easier prototyping and testing of your custom Arduino-based embedded solution. All the support pins are laid out on one side of the board, where the functional pins are adequately organized on the rest of the PCB. Please note that the footprint of the ATMEGA328P has a pitch of 0.5 mm and the pinout does not follow a one-to-one pin routing, therefore it is only intended to be used for this IC.
Please have a look at our shop to see what other options for developing your own Arduinos we have available for you. Also, further information on the utility of our boards can be found in the description from the first two members of the Nakeduino family.
Thanks for visiting our shop and, as always:
Happy tinkering!
Cheers
