KA2284 is an integrated circuit used for 5-point LED level indication, inputting different voltages, it can output 5 LEDs with different lighting states, and the LEDs turn on and off sequentially.
The number of LEDs lit is often used as an indication of the power amplifier output or the level of ambient sound, that is, the louder the sound, the more LEDs are lit, and the smaller the sound, the fewer LEDs are lit.
This circuit is composed of two parts: a triode amplifier circuit and a level indicator circuit. The microphone sends the received sound to the triode Q1 through C3 for amplification and then sends it to the signal input terminal (pin 8) of the KA2284.
The KA2284 drives 5 groups of light-emitting diodes to display on and off . The power supply of the circuit is 12V, R1-R5 are the current limiting resistors of the light-emitting diodes, and every 5 light-emitting diodes are connected in series. The left and right sides of the glasses are 5 groups of light-emitting diodes corresponding to mirror images. Adjusting RP1 can adjust the sound sensing sensitivity.
Install the resistor. There is no positive or negative for the resistor. If the resistance value is uncertain, please use a multimeter to measure the resistance value.
Install the microphone, there are positive and negative points, please install it according to the graphic direction of the circuit board.
Install the LEDs. The long feet are the positive poles. After installing several LEDs, correct them upright, do not crook them, cut off the pins, and then install the next group of LEDs.
Install the 10UF electrolytic capacitor. The long foot is the positive pole, which corresponds to the positive position of the circuit board. The two capacitors C1 and C2 should be installed lying down, which can reduce the height.
Install KA2284, and install the notch in the direction marked on the circuit board. The pin with the notch position is the 1-pin direction, and the left side of the circuit board is the 1-pin direction.
Install 104 ceramic capacitors without positive and negative poles distinguish. The 9014 triode and 103 potentiometer need to be installed according to the graphic position of the circuit board.
Install the battery shrapnel, pay attention to install it from the back, pay attention to the positive and negative poles. Use pliers to insert it into the welding hole when loading the circuit board. Be careful that he directions of the left and right battery shrapnel are different.
Install the toggle switch from the back, pay special attention to the installation height, insert the circuit board, and the exposed pins are just flush with the circuit board, which cannot be installed to the end.
Put the circuit board into the shell, fix it with screws. Put in the battery, and turn the switch to the ON position. Change the sensitivity by adjusting the potentiometer.
