What is it?

KRONOS-HDX is a hardware interface board that mirrors the internal LCD of your KORG KRONOS to an external HDMI display.

No soldering is required
simply replace the internal FFC cable, mount the board, and you’re ready to go.

No firmware modifications required
Extracts only the LCD signal with no firmware or OS changes. A safe, reversible, and non-destructive method that does not affect KRONOS hardware or operation.

Supports all KRONOS models — KRONOS 1, X, 2, and 3 (61/73/88).

For the external HDMI port, a panel-mount HDMI connector is installed by drilling a 24 mm hole using the included guide.

Why did you make it?

The KRONOS display can feel small for detailed editing or long studio sessions.

I wanted a way to view the KRONOS screen on a large, bright external monitor — comfortably and clearly.
This board was created to solve exactly that problem.

What makes it special?

  Every screen shown on the KRONOS — Set List, Program/Combi editing, parameters, meters — is mirrored exactly as-is to an external HDMI display.
  (Note: the external display does not support touch input; the KRONOS’s internal touchscreen remains fully functional.)

  Installation only involves swapping the FFC cable and tightening a few screws.

  Signal levels and timings are matched for stable, low-noise mirroring.

• Clean external connector mounting
  Using the included drilling guide, you can mount a panel-mount HDMI connector securely and neatly on the rear panel.

Additional Information

• KRONOS model compatibility
  Includes the correct FFC for your model:
  • 30-pin for KRONOS 1, X, 2
  • 40-pin for KRONOS 3

• Video resolution
  The KRONOS outputs a fixed 800×600 signal.
  By adjusting the scaling settings on your external display, you can enlarge the image or view it in full-screen mode while maintaining the correct aspect ratio.
