SnapBeat is simple Lo-fi sampler. Simply put, It can sample (copy) any sounds in music (e.g. a drum shot) and play the sound as its own sound.

It's for hobbyists and DIY music producer especially in Lo-fi hip-hop genre. It's simple and has limited functions but most importantly it's fun! https://snapbeat.net/

This is a full assembled product so that you can start using it just after unboxing.

What you need to prepare in addition to this product

USB type C charger and cable (for powering)
3.5mm stereo cable (for connecting with external sound sources such as PC or music player)
headphones (for monitoring sounds)
RCA stereo cable (for connecting with external powered speakers or other music instruments)

What makes it special?

Because of its simplicity, you can sample and play any sounds from various music sources quick and easily. Don't think too hard, take it easy and enjoy your beat and music!

About sound quality, the sounds are true Lo-fi. SnapBeat uses conventional voice recorder chip which is widely used in sound and voice toys. The chip record analog sound directly without analog to digital conversion. So, although the sampling frequency bandwidth is narrow, the sound is smooth and live.

Why did you make it?

I love hip-hop music. One day, I became interested in music production instruments such as sampler and drum machine to create original beat by myself. But samplers in the market looks so complicated with full of knobs and sliders and made me overwhelmed. Also, I was hesitant to pay that price because I wasn't confident that I could master it.

Since I was an electrical engineer, finally I decided to make simple sampler by and for myself.
