What is it?

Zigbee HAT that can be used direcly plugged on top of a RaspberryPI compatible board, easy to use in domotic hub like Home Assistant or Domoticz; fully compatible with zigbee2mqtt software. You can use it to build a stand-alone Zigbee hub using even a simple PiZeroW that will make it really compact.

This HAT offers really high coverage in terms of distance and thanks to the CC2652 module it can pair more than 100 devices directly. It has an external antenna to ensure stability and coverage; internal power amplifier is embedded and a reset button is available. The firmware is preloaded but can be easily updated via the raspberry (a handy FLASH button is present to put the chip in programming mode).

Why did you make it?

I wanted to have an independent zigbee hub that can be placed anywhere in the home and not only connected to the PC/Raspberry where the domotic hub (Home Assistant, etc) is installed; this to ensure to have the best coverage putting it in the centralmost location. Using the CC2652 then gives the best possible features available on the market.

What makes it special?

It's easy to install (just plug into a Raspberry and configure it zigbee2mqtt), the firmware is preloaded for easy use and it's easy to be upgraded when new firmwares will be released.

Range is as wide as possible using the most powerful module available (CC2652)
The Microcontroller has much more memory and is faster and can handle more than 100 device directly connected
It is already using ZStack 3.0 firmware fully compatible with Zigbee 3.0 devices

A must-have to build your personal Zigbee hub.

It perfectly fits on a Raspberry PI Zero W and it's the perfect match to build your personal open Zigbee hub using (for example) zigbee2mqtt.
I used to have an USB cc2531 but was very unstable. Since I've changed it with this Zigbee HAT everything is flawless, smooth as silk.

Very good product

Very good product, easy to install (coordinator firmware already installed). Clear instruction how to configure device. Very good signal strength (especially when option with external antenna is used) comparing to CC2530 devices I have.

Zigbee HAT for Raspberry Pi

It worked like a charm!
I just had to re-pair all the Zigbee devices, but other than that, it simply worked!
I must say that I am amazed of how stable the Zigbee network is now (about 40 devices and more to come).
With my old CC2530 the network was flapping quite often (read: VERY often) when registering more than 20 devices.

E' arrivato prima dei tempi previsti. Nella confezione non sono presenti le istruzioni per hassOS ma nel giro di 5 minuti ho ricevuto un'ottima assistenza per installare il tutto da parte del venditore. Ottimo prodotto!

It arrived ahead of schedule. In the package there are no instructions for hassOS but within 5 minutes I received excellent assistance to install everything from the seller. Great product!

Perfect

Fantastic HAT. Works really well, good zigbee signal strength.

Needed to deviate from install instructions provided (for Raspberry pi 3 with root) so I could use it in my raspberry pi 4 with home assistant os.
