What is it?

It is a smarthome sensor monitoring the in house air quality, conform to the Belgian regulation. The components used are NDIR Mh-z19b for CO2 concentration and BME680 for Temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure as an option.

Why did you make it?

During the current pandemic, I was looking for some smart sensors being able to inform me on the air quality status and the need for ventilation. Beside this criteria, I wanted to connect the sensor to my smarthome. All I found was or ugly, or expensive, or not connected

What makes it special?

It is compact, with an unconventional design and connected. It has a small oled screen informing people present in the room about the air quality. All data can be sent to a MQTT broker for any further processing (dashboard, alerts). The sensor can be hang on the wall or stick to your PC thanks to the two neodymium magnets.

Production

The sensor is built with a specific PCB and PETG 3D printed enclosure. Colours can be tailor-made on request. Powered with standard micro-USB (no power supply and cord provided). Desktop version also available.

Il s'agit d'un capteur connecté qui surveille la qualité de l'air dans la maison, conforme à la réglementation Belge. Les composants utilisés sont NDIR Mh-z19b pour la mesure du CO2 et BME680 pour Température, humidité et pression atmosphérique en option.

Pourquoi l'avez-vous fait ?

Pendant la pandémie actuelle, je cherchais des capteurs intelligents pouvant m'informer sur l'état de la qualité de l'air et le besoin de ventilation. A côté de ce critère, je voulais connecter le capteur à mon système domotique. Tout ce que j'ai trouvé était ou moche, ou cher, ou pas connecté

Qu'est-ce qui le rend spécial ?

Il est compact, au design non conventionnel et connecté. Il dispose d'un petit écran Oled informant les personnes présentes dans la salle de la qualité de l'air. Toutes les données peuvent être envoyées à un server MQTT pour tout traitement ultérieur (tableau de bord, alertes). Le capteur peut être accroché au mur ou collé à votre PC grâce aux deux aimants en néodyme.

Production

Le capteur est construit avec un PCB spécifique et un boitier imprimé 3D en PETG. Les couleurs peuvent être personnalisées sur demande. Alimenté par micro-USB standard (pas d'alimentation et de cordon fournis). Version bureau également disponible.
