I needed a way to test different kinds of OpAmps (PDIP8 IC chips, Discrete OpAmp in the 2520/990 pin format) for use with my pro-audio/hi-fi projects. So I made this test jig that allows me to easily set different gain settings of the DUT (Device Under Test), and also easily change configurations between buffer, non-inverting, and inverting amplifier configurations just by moving some jumpers.
A toggle switch also allows me to test the OpAmp output either with unloaded, 600-ohm, or 10Kohm load resistors.
A convenient BNC jack also allows easy connection to an oscilloscope and signal generator to monitor the waveform during testing, or easy hookup to an Audio Analyzer for THD/SNR/SINAD distortion measurements.
Power indicator LEDs for V+ and V- section to easily verify incoming voltages. Usually, if an OpAmp has a fault, one of the LEDs will fail to light up if there's an internal short-circuit in the OpAmp.
