For those who need a breakout board version of an eTiles sensor, you can use our Breakout Board Adapter. This items converts any tile of 1 x 1cm into a breakout board, with pins available for soldering and connecting jumper cables. Compatible with the eTiles DevBoard.
The breakout board adapter is reusable, so you only need to solder the pins once and use the same breakout board adapter for any other electronic tiles in the future. If you don’t want to solder at all, a pre-soldered version of this breakout board adapter is available in our store.
The pin locations make it compatible with breadboards.
The Flat Flexible Cable connector on the board allows users to extend the reach of the eTiles sensors. Included are two mounting holes. If you plan on using this as an FFC extension board, don't forget to pick up an FFC Connector Tile.

ETiles (http://etiles.com) is a brand owned by Amoeba Robotics Ltd., which is the parent company of Robugtix Ltd. While carrying out our Advanced Robotics Research & Development work, we often found it quite annoying to have cables tangled up in a bundle on our electronics boards and very time-consuming to hook up individual cables for each sensor. So, we came up with these little electronic tiles that can be neatly and quickly snapped into place and require no soldering.
The modular design of eTiles lets us quickly iterate different configurations of robots with different sensors. We are now sharing this with the rest of the world so that everyone can focus on the important parts of their projects without wasting time on hooking up cables and soldering.
