The LED Exoskeleton is a companion for your rolls of LEDs. It provides a rigid structure and M3 sized mounting holes so you don't have to mess around with adhesive backings. The Exoskeletons are designed to be placed end-on-end like a normal strip, or side-by-side to create custom 5 x N matrices.
The reason I made the LED Exoskeleton in the first place is because I love playing with addressable LED strips, but I found that they were squirrely if I wanted something remotely permanent. I wanted a rigid backbone and mounting holes, then I realized that I could add the data/power line connection points on the sides in a zig-zag pattern to make it far more useful. I think using a bunch of them would make a killer lamp shade.

We recognize our top users by making them a Tindarian. Tindarians have access to secret & unreleased features.
We look for the most active & best members of the Tindie community, and invite them to join. There isn't a selection process or form to fill out. The only way to become a Tindarian is by being a nice & active member of the Tindie community!
This tindie store is my first foray into producing and selling products from my hobby. Stay tuned, I'm working on an ESP8266, web-interfaced PLC.
