Multi-use goodness!

A board with multiple sockets to allow for swapping different hardware? Sign me up! I’ve happily been using the multi board for a few months now. It’s been incredibly helpful already to help me diagnose a number things around my home lab.

Super clean traces and solder points.

Flipper Zero Mayhem Multiboard Kit (ESP-CAM, NRF24)

I bought the kit, I chose the female headers for later plug-n-play capability so I can swap out the NRF24 in the future for a CC1101 if I ever need/want.
The board was immaculate, traces were really clean and it was labeled very well! A+

Soldering wasn't a big issue, I used the top pins underneath the board to make sure it was level when soldering the bottom pins, and then soldered the top pins on the reverse side of the board using the spare pins as spacers. Header pins and the capacitor were pretty easy as well. These guys also have a great tutorial on their youtube page showing how it all goes together. A+

Updating the firmware on the ESP32-CAM was a bit tricky, but not too bad - if you are updating from the flipper, 1) make sure to keep the Mayhem board plugged in, 2) turn on GPIO 5v, 3) use GPIO USB-UART on USB channel 1, 4) connect to your computer, 5) short pins IO0 to GND (3rd and 4th pins) and press the reset button on the back of the chip, and then 6) click the web update (https://flipper.ried.cl/webinstaller/). If you think it's a bit quirky, it is, but these guys didn't design that chip. Cyber Bros shows a really good youtube video showing one of the guys doing this. A+

Testing out the board is pretty fun, I downloaded and installed the Mayhem apps from flipc.org by using the pc qFlipper app and drag and drop to the folder's storage - extremely easy. Had some fun with my daughter sending Morse code across the house, took a picture, and tested out the network sniffer. A+ for general shenanigans and mischief.

I did have some issue with shipping (I think the post office lost my package), I sent these guys a message and my board and chips arrived 2 days later. A+ customer support and communication.

Mayhem multiboard for Flipper Zero

Purchased the Mayhem WiFi multiboard to learn something new. Ordered it pre-configured and tested. It shipped the next day and arrived a couple of days later. They quickly contacted me to ask if everything was ok and offered to help if needed. Cyber-Bros installation instructions can be easily found online. Although, the all in one "Web Install" did not work for me they offered some great suggestions. Installing the 4 .fap files individually using the "Install" button next to the "Download" button on the "Web Install" page worked. I did use a different computer to do the install but since that computer also failed trying to use the all in one "Web Install" I don't think the computer was the issue.
Cyber-Bros gave excellent and extremely quick responses to my problems. They strive for complete customer satisfaction! I highly recommend them.
