This is a Drop-In Programmable Arduino Replacement Board for GE Color Effects Christmas Lights. It's a clone of DigitalMisery.com's Colornode controller, a specialized build of a JeeNode.
The ColorNode is an Arduino compatible board specifically designed to replace the stock GE Color Effects (http://www.geholidaylighting.com/color-effects/us). Replacing the stock controller allows for wireless synchronization of multiple strands of light as well as run custom light programs.
This listing is for a single replacement board to drop into your own lights. Please view my other listing to see an option to buy pre-loaded onto a stand of 25 lights. You can view a video of all the lights running together below.
These lights require a controller to tell them what to do. I recommend using a JeeNode assembled controller, available here: http://moderndevice.com/product/jeelink-module-assembled/ . Alternatively, you could purchase an additional board and reprogram it to function as the controller.
