Read More…This powerful, flexible sensor board is based on the Arduino Nano micro-controller and includes an ESP-01 ESP8266 Wifi module and also supports the NRF24L01+ 2.4Gzh radio transceiver.
It supports multiple sensors, including almost any I2C sensor via the break-out port.
It can be configured with an optional on-board CCS811 Air Quality sensor DATASHEET for monitoring VOC and eCOT along with a BME280 DATASHEET add-on board for monitoring Temperature, Humidity, and Barometric pressure sensor. When used together, the two make for a fully-functional home environmental monitoring system.
The board also supports up to 2 SR-HC04 or US-100 Ultrasonic distance sensors AND up to 2 HC-SR501 Passive infrared motion sensors.
The system is built around an Arduino Nano so it is 100% Arduino IDE compatible and can be programmed from a USB port via the included mini-USB cable.
The system has been designed to shore up the Nano's shortcomings and add additional functionality.
Because the board supports both ESP8266 and NRF24L01 modules at the same time, it can be used to bridge 2.4Ghz radio and Wifi networks.
FEATURES
Supports standard Arduino libraries for all sensors and modules to take the guess work out of designing your sensor solution.
This board can be ordered fully-assembled or as a kit for self assembly. If ordered as a kit, all SMD components will be pre-installed and you will need to solder on the Nano and all headers and connectors.
NOTE: The CCS811 is a high-quality, high-precision Gas/Air Quality sensor. When used for the first time it requires a 48-hour burn-in period. Thereafter, it requires a 20-minute self-calibration period on startup. See DATASHEET and applications notes for more information.
