Installation is simple and straightforward. Unscrew the 3 Torx T5 bolts under the drawing tablet (There's one under the spare nibs), use a credit card or plastic spudger to separate the two halves of plastic, then remove the old board. You'll have to trim the plastics around the old Micro USB port to fit, then you're good to assemble everything back together.
This design pushes the USB Connector farther forward, so it's not buried deep in a tiny hole. This means almost any USB C cable should work, and you're not forced to use the weird proprietary Wacom cable that didn't come with my second-hand tablet.
As you can see in the third image, I used larger, nicer tactile switches with this build. I went ahead and replaced the smaller white switches on both sides of my tablet. I can almost guarantee they'll feel different if you don't do the same. Functionality remains the same of course. Just something to keep in mind. I've added a selection to purchase two of the switches I used with the mod board, so you can replaced the other side as well. It is fairly difficult, and will likely require hot air. Note that the replacement likely destroys the original switches.
I'm the USB C guy. It's what I'm known for at this point. I want every tool/device on my desk to use a single cable. I'm sick and tired of fiddling around trying to find the right cable to charge or use my devices, especially when I've got a nice long USB C cable that lives right at my desk.
