Carbon Monoxide sensor with a UART interface. The pinout is smaller (2.00mm) than standard (2.54mm). We have included the option to include pitch changer boards and header strips to allow dropping into the standard grid protoboard. For an additional small amount, you can order the sensor completely assembled ready to insert in solderless protoboards, etc.
Carbon monoxide is an interesting gas to study for indoor air quality. A result of incomplete combustion, one source can be from your house heater. You can find some information about that application here:
Most common carbon monoxide sensors are binary, on or off. This sensor gives you a reading of the existing levels. If you have a fireplace or wood stove, high carbon monoxide levels can be caused by inadequate venting
A serial interface with accurate measurements of atmospheric volume of carbon monoxide. Python and Arduino drivers are under development.
