Read More…A hot plate with controller circuit for SMD soldering. Size of the heating area is 60x50 millimeters. Selectable temperature is 100 - 227 degrees celsius (212 - 440 fahrenheit). You need an external DC power supply (12V, 5A) to run the device.
I needed such a device for an upcoming project. So instead of just ordering a hot plate, this was a reason to design my own.
It is pretty cheap and the only part of it that is exposed to thermal stress can be easily replaced if necessary.
To keep the package size small, you need to screw on the top plate and also solder in the potentimeter yourself.
