This is a straightforward, simple, easy-to-use, and reliable boost converter that provides stable 5V DC output with currents of 1A or more using a standard 3.7V LiPoly/LiIon battery. It uses the TI TPS61090 boost converter which has great specs, including:
A standard JST connector is provided for the battery input, and a JST SH connector with 1mm pin spacing is provided for power output. Also included is a 6" cable with mating JST SH plug to connect to the output, with bare wire on the other end.
Note that this product does not include a battery charger-- this is just the boost converter that steps the battery voltage up from 3.7V to 5V.
Also note that this product does not include reverse input polarity protection, so you will need to make sure your battery has the correct polarity. Polarity is indicated on the PCB at the input connector, and matches the standard polarity used by Adafruit and Sparkfun LiPo batteries.
