( 1x) Adafruit Trinket micro-controller (5v)
( 1x) Mini Breadboard
( 2x) LED + Resistor (assorted colors)
( 1x) Pushbutton
( 1x) Knob (10K potentiometer)
( 1x) Addressable RGB LED (WS2811)
(10x) Premium Jumper Wires
( 1x) Mini USB Cable (3')
( 1x) Altoids Box
Note: the breadboard, LEDs, and pushbutton are assorted, so the ones you receive may not be the same color as the ones in photos.
I developed this kit as part of a 4-hour workshop on How to Hack with Electronics presented at the 2014 Planning-ness conference (www.planningness.com). Together, that presentation, the accompanying samples, and this kit provide an inexpensive and fun introduction to micro-controllers, breadboarding simple circuits, and programming. And, since the Trinket uses the same software as the very popular Arduino micro-controller, it's also a basic introduction to using an Arduino.
This approach keeps costs low, and focuses on concepts that provide a foundation for further exploration.
