Cortex-M JTAG Interface Extender is great companion for firmware development, production and testing using JTAG/SWD with miniature 6-pin TagConnect2030 probes, 10-pin JTAG cables and for quick hook-ups. It connects to 20-pin IDC connector, compatible with J-Link, external genuine STLink and similar programmers.
The board contains the following target facing interfaces:
NOTE: You can order various TagConnect cables in product options above.
In order to use the external power with the programmer, the external power line output may need to be enabled in the programmer's user interface. Please refer to your programmer's operating manual.
We've had ARM board prototypes with very nasty hardware faults occurring, and after desperately questioning the laws of physics for a while, we needed to hook the debug signals to the scope and, at the same time, connect the debugger to TagConnect2030 (which we love and prefer to use in our designs) over RJ12. These are impossible to find in ARM Cortex-M world, so we've made one, plus some useful extras. As the board has gone through several revisions, we have decided to offer them to developers as proven and affordable solution for professional use.
The latest Cortex-M JTAG Interface Extender board revision 4 integrates resistor-programmable output voltage and 10-pin JTAG. Combining relatively expensive devices into one small and compact unit, and including extra functionality, Cortex-M JTAG Interface Extender has an unbeatable price tag for both professional and hobbyist use.
