This sensor monitors PM10, PM2.5, temperature and humidity, making it suitable for use in air quality monitoring applications. By default, the sensor values are sent to the Luftdaten open air quality map (https://luftdaten.info/). All you have to do is connect the device to your WiFi router using a smartphone. For private monitoring applications, we offer a private dashboard to view and analyse data (contact us for more info @ email@example.com). Alternatively, you can upload custom code to the onboard ESP8266 to fulfill your needs.
Originally designed for industrial clients as a means of obtaining particulate levels on site boundaries and in sensitive areas, the sensor has since been employed as part of the EU's Replicate Project (https://replicate-project.eu/), which aims to promote public engagement with air quality data. The base sensor firmware uploads sensor values directly to Luftdaten's open air quality database.
measures PM10, PM2.5, temperature and humidity
rugged enclosure allows deployment in most environments
battery and solar panel to provide indefinite use away from mains power (dependent on mounting location and local light conditions)
optional mounting bracket to allow installation on poles or walls
no additional setup required, simply connect the device to your WiFi network and sensor values will be sent automatically to Luftdaten
The setup guide - which includes instructions on how to connect the device to WiFi, and how to correctly mount the device - can be found in our Github repository
