nedoCPU-16 is devboard for PIC16F87X (DIP28) with optional serial adapter. It's having 24 pins in 1 row that makes it bread-board friendly:
First 8 pins - port A (X1):
A0 - bit 0 of port A
A1 - bit 1 of port A
A2 - bit 2 of port A
A3 - bit 3 of port A
A4 - bit 4 of port A
A5 - bit 5 of port A
+5V - power (OUTPUT if you have IC6 and JP1 closed, INPUT of stable +5V if you don't have IC6 or JP1 open)
GND - ground
Second 8 pins - port B (X2):
B0 - bit 0 of port B
B1 - bit 1 of port B
B2 - bit 2 of port B
B3 - bit 3 of port B
B4 - bit 4 of port B
B5 - bit 5 of port B
B6 - bit 6 of port B
B7 - bit 7 of port B
Third 8 pins - port C (X3):
C0 - bit 0 of port C
C1 - bit 1 of port C
C2 - bit 2 of port C
C3 - bit 3 of port C
C4 - bit 4 of port C
C5 - bit 5 of port C
C6 - bit 6 of port C, also goes as TX in serial interface (X5)
C7 - bit 7 of port C, also goes as RX in serial interface (X5)
Power goes to X4 (if you have 7-35V then IC6 will do +5V out of it) or if you already have stable +5V then apply it to 7th pin of 1st 8-pin row and do not solder IC6 (7805) or open jumper switch JP1.
X5 is TTL-level serial interface, compatible with many TTL-to-RS232 and TTL-to-USB adapters:
And X6 is ICSP connector for PICkit3 to program or debug.
