I designed this module as an educational training aid, for schools, colleges or apprentice schemes. It enables teachers to build a full curriculum around soldering, coding, electronics and general design theory. It can also be bought and used as a standard standalone temperature sensor, using the LM35 option or temperature and humidity sensor using the DHT11 option. The high quality hot air levelled lead free board, 4" x 2" (97mm x 50mm) approx size, double sided plated through with green solder mask and white silkscreen. Consists of a bare bones Arduino based on a socketed dip chip ATMEGA328P-PU processor, a 2 row 16 character LCD matrix, the option of a LM35 temperature sensor, which was chosen to integrate with FLOWOL educational flowcharting software or a DHT11 for the Arduino IDE, the majority of unused pins are brought out to headers, a reset and a programmable push switch, traffic light LEDS, Red, Amber and Green on D8, D9 and D10 data pins and a thumbwheel pot to control the LCD backlight (not shown in images). Once built up although a basic Arduino sketch will be loaded to the chip depending on which option is purchased. The unit can be programmed via the standard Arduino IDE and an FTDI lead which is an option to purchase or as previously mentioned can be used with FLOWOL flowcharting software directly. Very comprehensive build up instructions will be supplied as well as sketches for the option which is purchased. Note these options will be built to order so have put a nominal quantity on each if you need more can amend, or if you are a large educational establishment happy to discuss high quantities and volume discounts through Tindie.
