Just a simple rotary encoder on a breakout board with decoupling capacitors. Added 3D printed case stl files as data sheet and BOM file, feel free to download and print it. 3D printed case picture is only as reference, it is not included in the basic encoder PCB.
To be honest, it is a byproduct of my upcoming 5 OLED Display V-Gauge. While I was designing the HDMI cable breakout PCB for it I figured I could include the layout for these very nice rotary encoders.
It might come in handy for all people that need an easy input method for their Arduino or other electronic projects. All you need to connect are 4 wires, a common ground, 2 pins for A and B from the encoder and the pin for the switch in the middle of the encoder. I will also have either an enclosure for it or a 3D printed case in the near future. It can be used for many application such as volume control or anything else for that matter. The biggest advantage of this encoder is the one handed or even one finger operation.
Please don't mind the other pins and pads and seen it as art :-) as I mentioned above this is a byproduct but very usable nevertheless.
