When we first stumbled upon the Slow Dance Frame created by Jeff Lieberman, we were quite astounded to be able to view real-life objects move in what appears to be slow motion. It is so surreal and mesmerising.
For those who would like to know more about this magical frame that slows down time, you may find out more from the original Kickstarter.
We have replicated the Slow Dance Frame which we aptly named it as sLOMO (Slow Motion) Frame. It is designed using parts which are more easily available for purchase rather than to custom made them in order to replicate the project.
The electronic circuit board is designed to be small in order to fit it into a smaller picture frame but not too small as we prefer to use the popular and easy to use Arduino Nano / compatible microcontroller to drive this board.
JF sLOMO Frame Basic Kit Parts Included
Note: Arduino Nano / compatible micro-controller is not included.
You may also opt to purchase the following Add-ons:
Note: Ikea have discontinued selling the Ribba Picture Frame of size 18cm x 24cm. Make sure you are able to find this frame or able to build one yourself if you are purchasing the JF sLOMO Frame Back Mount Kit.
Project build instructions for this kit are available on Instructables
Someone Made This Project!
Sean have created a video for this product and also a 3D printable frame for those who don't have a laser cutter.
