The AllPixel provides easy USB control of all the major programmable LED strip types. It is compatible with Linux (including the Raspberry Pi), Mac, and Windows platforms, and is capable of driving up to 700 LEDs at high frame rates. Multiple AllPixels can be linked in software to act as one larger display.
Our robust, Python-based software library BiblioPixel supports the AllPixel and allows for animation creation and control. Since it's Python-based, interfacing the AllPixel to your existing projects is greatly simplified.
The kit comes with the AllPixel board with all surface-mount components pre-soldered. A handful of through-hole parts are included and can be installed based on the LED type you intend to use and how you want to connect the LEDs and external power. A USB cable is also included.
For an easy way to join and power multiple LED strips, check out our PowerTap Kit.
