This is the JR 232micro module. This breakout board features the popular FT232R chip from FTDIChip which converts USB to simple serial protocols. The board pins are spaced using standard 2.54mm spacing so it can be easily used on breadboards for project prototyping. Many communication protocols can be implemented with this module and there is a vast amount of example code on the Internet for all major operating systems!
This module was designed to provide a full breakout of the FT232R for use in an RS232 communications project. It provides users with many options for configuration and its configurable control bus pins can be used to bring out internal signals such as clock signals up to 48MHz to drive microprocessors!
this module is complete and ready to be integrated into your system. It comes with a USB micro-B connector which contains lugs which are soldered through the board to ensure it doesn't come off. It has a power LED and supply decoupling. Can provide 3.3V(up to 50mA) supply or 5V( up to 500mA) to external logic and of course, is a great price!!!
