This is a very easy to build kit which contains all needed parts for assembling of LM386 based high quality stereo amplifier. The amplifier has embedded 3 W power AC-DC supply module which works from 100 to 240 VAC. It has three control knobs:
Channel balance - can be used to adjust the stereo base if some difference in the speakers cable length, position or impedance exist
Bass boosting - shaping of the frequency response of the amplifier (see the picture)
The amplifier is also offered as assembled device in a nice 3D printed box.
The LM386 is available on the market since 1983 year and it became the most loved and used audio amplifier chip for decades. Different amplifier designs are available on the market but none of them combines all the features which I have implemented in my design - all the tuning options and the embedded on PCB power supply module.
All the features mentioned above make this kit very unique. The PCB used is high quality black board with all parts values labelled on it. You do not need any schematic to solder it - simply mount each device corresponding the label on the PCB. The kit uses high quality metal oxide film resistors and electrolyte capacitors. The LM386 chips are mounted on sockets - for fast replacement if burned out (if this is possible?!?) There is a fuse placed on the PCB protecting all the circuitry. The fuse can be very easy replaced.
The assembled version is mounted in nice 3D printed box.Under request another box colours are available: black, silver, metallic, grey or yellow.
Finally - Some safety remarks: On the PCB exist dangerous for your life high voltages! Be very careful when working with the amplifier! The board shall be placed on insulating surface - Never place it on metal table without plastics or thick cardboard insulation. Never touch the board in the region marked on the picture. It is recommended that the amplifier board is mounted in plastic or wooden case. If you want to use a metal housing - mount the board at some distance from the bottom of the box using spacers.
