BQ51013B based Qi wireless charging controller paired with the BQ24296 USB OTG capable charger. The charger can provide up to 1.5A charging through Qi wireless and up to 2A through USB with the BQ24296. The battery leads are on one side and the Qi wireless coils are on the opposite. The USB charger can also support up to 1.5A worth of USB OTG power to charge an external USB OTG device. We added a STC3115A fuel gauge to accurately track the batteries health and charge.
Fyber Labs needed a battery charger. We wanted the option to do wireless charging and Qi is still the most common standard. We made this compatible with our other Flex Modules so that it may be paired with our USB BiPower OTG Flex Module. Default function is to automatically manage charging through either charge technology and fully functional with any i2c microcontroller.
This charger is very compact and fully functional. It is one of the few OTG capable chargers available in any form of breakout board.
