FemtoCow™ tinyBoost comes in many versions with a different output voltage. It can be plugged directly to a breadbord or soldered to your project in place of a TO-220 voltage regulator. FemtoCow™ tinyBoost is self contained and does not need any additional components. There are two different types:
The 2.7V, 3.3V and 5V version is meant to be powered from a battery to provide a steady voltage to your portable project. You can power your standalone microcontroller at 5V just from a single AA battery until the battery is completely drained.
9V, 12V and custom version is meant to be powered from 5V rail and can provide higher voltage for your project. The custom voltage is fixed. When you choose the custom version, add a note to your order what would you like. I can set the voltage within 3% range.
Max output current tinyBoost can deliver depends on the input voltage. Lower the input voltage is, lower the output current is. I made some measurements, you can see in the table bellow. Some values are to be determined.
It converts lower voltage to a higher voltage. Do not connect a higher voltage on the input than it supposed to be on the output.
Custom output voltage is not variable, it's fixed and you can choose the value when you place an order.
