Set of 7 SMD tape holders designed and 3D printed by me. I use them for SMD soldering every day. I perfected the design for smooth and easy use. As you pull the clear cover tape to the left, the tape with components will move to the right exposing the components to be picked by a vacuum pen. Check the video. The set includes:
one 3 slot 8mm x 2mm tray, good for thicker paper tape (bigger capacitors...) one 3 slot 8mm x 3mm trays with rails, good for plastic tape with pockets, the tape slides in a rail so the pockets won't stuck on the edge (LEDs, capacitors, ICs...) one 2 slot 12mm x 4mm tray with rails, good for larger ICs like voltage regulators one 2 slot 16mm x 4mm + 8mm x 4mm with rails, 16mm tray for larger ICs like microcontrollers
In addition to the base set you can choose extra 3 trays based on your needs from above including:
3 slot 8mm x 1.5mm trays, good for paper tape (resistors, small capacitors...) 2 slot 16mm x 7mm + 8mm x 7mm with rails, deep tray for inductors or similar 1 slot 24mm x 5mm trays, good for larger ICs
You can glue the trays using double sided tape to the optional acrylic plate. This way you can keep project related trays together and can store them away with the project.
I tested every tray to make sure they work smoothly. Color may vary, each tray type is a different color. Components not included, pictures for illustration purposes only. Contact me if you need more trays of the same type or any special ones.
Because I needed one and there wasn't similar product on the internet.
Well thought design over many iterations.
This is so called second class quality. Sometimes 3D prints are not as perfect as expected, these trays may have some scratches or bumps, or may be discolored, or may have another imperfection, but they work as good as expected. I tested every one of them. I don't want to throw them away just because they are uglier, instead I offer them at discounted rate. Otherwise I would have to substantially increase the price.
Would you rather buy nice ones? Nice SMD soldering trays
