This is version 2.1 of my LoRaLem RN2483 board. This version is a much improved version of the previous (red) version.

I've developed a board to easily get started with LoRaWAN, for instance with "the things network". Just solder on a RN2483 and a arduino pro mini (3.3v 8Mhz) and you're good to go.

The board is designed in such a way that it fits perfectly in this project box:

The board has the following features:

• Room for a RN2483
• Room for a pigtail antenna connectors (868Mhz or 433Mhz)
• Room for a Arduino pro mini (3.3v 8Mhz)
• Room for 2 I2C sensors, like SI7021, max44009, etc
• Room for 2 connectors for additional I2C sensors (using XH-4P connectors)
• Room for 2 connectors for onewire sensors (using XH-3P connectors)
• room for a XH-2P connector to connect a lipo battery
• room for a XH-2P connector to connect a powersupply to charge the lipo
• room for a tp4056 lipo charging circuit on the back of the board
• room for a fuel gauge, as sold by sparkfun
• room for a AMS IAQ air quality sensor
• Room for pins for power & tx leds
• room for pins to connect to a on/off switch
• Room for a Neo 6m GPS module
• Room for pullup resistors for the onewire and i2c busses
• Room for resistiors for the power & tx led pins

The board can be powered by a accu, for instance a 3.7v lipo

To get started with this board, at a minimum you will need the following parts:

• A Arduino pro mini 3.3v 8mhz (for example: this one)
• A FTDI module to program the arduino pro mini (for example: this one)
• 2x 220r, 2x 10k and 1x 4.7k resistors in size 1206
• A RN2483 or RN2483
• A pigtail antenna connector
• A antenna

With these parts you can get started, powering the circuit by the FTDI module. If you want to rake it to the next step, you will need a TP4056 connector to power the circuit through that. The TP4056 will give you the possibility to charge the battery, while it's online and will protect your lipo from over/under charging.

Attached is a source code sample that will work on a board with GPS and SI7021 sensors. It will send temperature, humidity and coordinates via "the things network
