This board converts your Arduino Uno into an infrared helicopter controller. It has two analog x-y joysticks connected to the A0..A3 analog inputs of the Arduino. It also has a 3 LED infrared blasted based on the TV-B-Gone circuit connected to pin 12. Finally, an Infrared Received Diode is connected to pin 11.
This board can read the position of the two joysticks, an infrared signal can be transmitted and a signal from an infrared controller or tv remote control can be received and analyzed.
You will receive the source code for a program that can control a Radio-Shack UFO, a Protocol brand three channel helicopter and a generic two channel helicopter.
You will also receive full assembly instructions.
To populate the board you need to purchase separately the following wish list at sparkfun.com https://www.sparkfun.com/wish_lists/115288. If you do not have an Arduino Uno, the cost of the parts will be $53.70. If you have an Arduino Uno and solder paste, those can be removed from the wishlist, bringing down the total to $20.80 in parts.
