A dual WS2812B compatible module, with on-board JST 5-pin header with 2mm spacing. One of the 5 pins is free and routes to a spare pad on the module. The other 4 pins are for 5V, GND, DataIN, DataOUT. The modules can be operated standalone with a suitable controller (eg Arduino) or daisy-chained to create an even more exciting project. There is one large and 2 small holes in the centre of each module suitable for use with fixed mounting, suspension or sewing. The male JST connector is mounted on the rear and could be de-soldered to provide a flatter profile, if desired.
When daisy-chaining many modules together, make sure to provide power directly from a dedicated power supply. (not from an Arduino)
The module is left over from a previous arcade project.
It is a compact unit with an on-board JST connector and optional 30mm long JST 5-wire cable.
Note: Lengths are approximate (within +/- 5mm)
The RGB LEDs are WS2812B compatible(see SK6812), and are not original WS2812B parts. Neopixel is a trademark of Limor Fried of Adafruit and we have no association with either party other than being an occasional customer. The central mounting hole is 4mm.
