Read More…This inline controller allows you to plug in a common household fan and will then adjust the speed of the fan proportional to the ANT+ power (requires and ANT+ compatible powermeter or cycling trainer). If you've ever forgotten to turn on your fan while using Zwift, Trainer Road or just riding indoors or you feel that your fan settings don't match your efforts, be it intervals or virtual riding, then this will allow you to focus on the ride and not your fan.
When people ride virtually you want more cooling when you're pushing hard and only power data allows for this! When you go up a virtual hill your speed might drop but your power goes up.
This is a beta test product. Early adopters are encouraged to give feedback, request features, and complain. As mentioned in previous youtube videos, the market response dictates how far this project goes. One of those is to make it fully opensource and not just hackable. It's based on a Nordic NRF52832 certified module, an isolated AC/DC power module, and a zero-cross detector and triac. The pinout is on the back if you want to hack it.
Comes with short cables for North American outlets.
NOTES:
This device operates on ANT+ power data with firmware updates via BLE. It does not receive BLE power because your training device will be prevented from receiving. BLE is one connection only. All smart trainers today transmit ANT+ power with a few exceptions. Check your trainer or powermeter manufacturers site.
Do not use with smart fans that have remotes or digital controls.
Cannot ship to the USA / EU / AUS / ETC. Only Canada for the Beta.
