A better, thinner, more flexible product than MICA and Sil pads. Great for general use and critical thin applications found in wearable devices. Thermal paste (ShinEtsu) is suggested for optimal performance. Expected complete thermal impedance including applied paste (both sides) is 0.3°C-in²/W!!
It's just 0.5mil thin with a laminated matte surface & a high polish surface for better thermal efficiency. Available in Blue & purple gloss for now. Multiple colours help identify associated transistor /device types at a glance. Product tested to 200V isolation although the linked documentation suggests much greater dielectric isolation. Good RF performance given low permittivity!
It's much cheaper and easily applied than less effective alternatives such as MICA or Sil pads. Note the link to full Mylar properties, chemical name BOPET. Metalized/insulated surface for conformable cut through resistance. Suggested 320 grit surface finish (or better) and beveled screw holes for best application.
