This controller was designed to control an A.C 240V/315/415 motor which is driven with a 3 wire V.F.D.
A variable frequency drive is used to drive the A.C motors which uses a IGBT power Module controlled via an RS485 BUS.
I needed to control my HVAC system, mostly to make it more energy efficient. By using the controller, the motor runs according to the needed frequency 20Hz to 120Hz . Currently the board is configured to measure the temperature probe and by using P.I.D an corresponding output frequency drives the motor. Other setups or custom configuration can be done just by coding it .
The controller uses an avr AT-MEGA2560 with ample i/o lines to control all the interfaces. The board consists of the following:
